...at least it’s an ethos

How did Thursday show up already? I spent last weekend with indie bands, 80s punk icons and horses. Friday night Pinback played the Del Mar horse races, and Billy Idol played the same place Saturday night. A (among many sub par ones) glorious, silver mullet was spotted at Billy Idol. I witnessed a probably sloshed dude ask the glorious mullet if he could pet it. Not a bad weekend for 12$ total entry fee.

Tracey finally gets back on Sunday night, and then on Thursday we're flying out to C-town. It was supposed to be a long weekend filled with 4 to 5 Indians games for me, cheering on the home team as they fought for the pennent. I've scaled that back to one, maybe two games and more time spent with family/friends and a quick trip to BG to see the rents new house. I'd love to see a pronk HR. Listen, I think Ortiz is a great player, and clutch. But if he's going to get some run as MVP, let's not forget Pronk. Look at the numbers. His name is not even mentioned this year, probably because the Indians suck.

Laura Palmer's Dad was born in Akron.

I'd watch it, probably.

Ya know, if time and money were not a problem, here's a few jobs I'd rather do than document printers:

1. Be in a band with my brothers.
2. Pop culture writer/blogger like Pop Candy.
3. Pro poker player.
4. Computer animation person (Computer animator? Does that sound right?)
5. Own/run a music club/bar. Something seedy and cool like the Casbah.
6. Pro skater.
7. World traveler.
8. If I could add more skill, height, and muscle, then I'd say NBA player.
9. I guess I'll make this a top ten list. What's another one? I don't want to say actor, because I don't think I would like the long days or repeating myself over and over. Uh, I can't think of anything else. If you can think of anything I should/could be, let me know.
10. See #9.

    It's a good list-I would add:

    9. Professional sports fan for Cleveland teams (Astros have two fan boggers at the www.chron.com/sports web site I would suppose they get paid.)

    10. Be a full-time movie and music critic for Rolling Stone.

Bruce took my idea...definitely a music critic for any magazine. But if you figure out a way to get paid for being a world traveler, spread the news!

Okay, but if you go ahead with #5 and open a club\bar, would you hire Charlie Tuna?
