More Than A Porpoise, More Than A Man, A Manimal

I want a Porpoise who will laugh for no one else

Marshall-“How’s Edwards’ job going man?”
New Answer-“Oh man, not good, he got laid off.”

That’s right folks. Scantron’s latest casualty of a poor economy is me. I got the good news yesterday. I won’t explain the reasons they gave me of why I was laid off, just corporate BS anyway. It’s all about money, not humans, and that’s ok with me, what can I do anyway? So it’s 1:15pm, I’m still in my pajamas and it’s all good. I know I’ll have my ups and downs of emotions, but for now, I’m excited. I have an opportunity to move on the bigger and brighter things. I can finally become that famous rich rock star I was meant to be, I just need to learn to play an instrument, anyway.

I appreciate all the support and love we have already received from friends and family. Things are going to work out for the best. Besides, Sunday is Tracey’s birthday, so were not going to let a little lay off get in the way of celebration. Tonight we hit Ortegas in OB, then the Brand New/Hot Rod Circuit concert. Tomorrow I have some surprise things for Tracey that I can’t reveal yet. Then Sunday is low key, chillin, prolly see Love Actually (Tracey’s choice) and then dinner at Filipis in Little Italy with some friends. It’s going to be a fun weekend for sure.

I’m still feelin a bit sick, but getting better. Some of the things I’m looking to do with my new found time off: surfing, working out more, re-learning Flash and HTML, more bball, fixing our hot tub, flossing my teeth, ripping out our deck so we can plant a garden, driving route 66 with my Dad, organizing my cds (again), cleaning our garage, having lunch with Tracey almost everyday, finding the perfect job, having Starbucks by the ocean and sleeping in. I’m sure I’ll think of more. God has a plan, he always has a plan. Peace.
