More Than A Porpoise, More Than A Man, A Manimal

I want a Porpoise who will laugh for no one else

So I got word yesterday that my contract at my job has been extended until the end of June. I’m very thankful to have an extra 3 ½ weeks of work, but obviously was hoping for more. We’re trusting God for things to work out the way they should. If anything, it gives me more time to continue looking for other employment, which is good considering I have no real options in front of me currently. I’m not sure yet how this affects me staying a little longer in BG. I’m waiting to find out if this extension if based on actual hours or just an end of the month thing. If it’s based on hours, which I expect, then extending my trip is still an option and I can make up the missed days in July. A wonderful (note: sarcasm) benefit of an extended contract is that I get two more projects piled on top of the two I’m already buried under. That’s the fun of being a second tech writer at a company who’s on a contract basis, they just pile the crap on you that the “real” writer doesn’t really want to do, whatev. I’m just grateful to have employment these days. Tonight we’re getting lobster tacos in MB with some friends, possibly a new Wednesday night tradition. You’d thing I would be sick of them after the weekend, no way jose. Got some plans solidified with Mary last night, good stuff. Looking forward to getting Justin’s dvds from her.

It’s gonna hurt to root for the Pistons, but we can’t have the Lakers winning anything, so that’s how it is. I’ve actually enjoyed watching their games, with the defense and all, gotta respect that. As for me playing bball, I’ve put myself back on the shelf. I came off the DL too early and have “re-aggravated” my knee injury. If a game gets put together in BG with Lars, then I’ll do it, but other than that, I’m concentrating on becoming a real surfer this summer.
