Has it been a whole week of non-bloggin? Guess so, and it felt good. Not much happened last week anyway, but this week, look out, let me break it down to you. Tonight Tracey and I going to a free screening of the movie Owning Mahoney starring Phillup Seymore Hoffman. I got this email last week from the local Indie theatre offering the tickets to the first 150 people who responded to the email, and I got two tickets, so that’s rad (speaking of Rad, I saw a dude on Saturday wearing a Rad t-shirt, from the actual movie Rad about BMX’ers in the 80’s, great movie). Then Tuesday marks the release of the new Alkaline Trio CD, and they are on Conan Obrien as well. Then Thursday is the big day, getting to finally see the Matrix Reloaded, so I am super excited about this week.

Lets backtrack, congrats to my brother Justing for (finally) graduating from college, good work. Now you can do what most people do, go work in a field not related to their major. I’m excited for you to go to England, have fun. I wanted to send you some music before you left, but I kept forgetting. I’ve gotta get you Wayne Everett’s new cd (from LF), you’ll be into it. And for my first installment of my favorite heroes, I’m going with the Mullet guy from Ghost World, I love that guy, and he was sticking up for his rites, so I think he is a hero.

For you BG people, SF59 will be in Ann Arbor on June 11, don’t blow it and miss them, I think it’s at the Blind Pig. Saturday Tracey and I checked out this big block party event in Pacific Beach and it pretty much sucked. It was like a giant meat market, a very Mardi Gras feel to it. We went to see one of our current fav bands called Convoy, and they pretty much sucked as well, and the PA system kept going out and they were getting pissed. But I did have dozens of people thinking I was Johnny Knoxville, you’d have to see me to understand. We also rented Two Weeks Notice and Real Women Have Curves, both were decent. And I actually enjoyed SNL this week. I don’t watch American Idol, but their spoof of it had Tracey and I rolling. I also started watching the first season of the HBO series OZ. I borrowed it from a friend at work. It’s disturbing but intriguing. We also went to OB all Sunday afternoon and got fried. So now I’m fat and sun burned. Lakers suck.
