Elvis would be 73 today (I think). For all we know, he IS 73 and hanging out somewhere with Andy Kaufman and Jim Morrison and 2Pac. Myself? I’m 33 today. I’ll save the diatribe on how time flies by too fast because we all know that cliché is true. Weirdly, strangely in my 20s I thought I was not going to make it to my 30th birthday. I’m not sure why. It wasn’t like I was living on the edge chasing the dragon or self destructing like Britney; it was just a weird feeling. I was relieved to make it to 30. Three years later and I’m still going. My next goal is to still be alive when Indiana Jones 4 comes out (which is soon, yay for me). Is that weird? When we were flying home from Ohio this past Sunday we had some tough spots of turbulence, and I swear, one of the first thoughts that came to my head was, “man, if this thing goes down, I didn’t get to see Indiana Jones 4”. Possibly I’m holding on too hard to this world. Or at the very least, an unhealthy love of pop culture and devouring it. I think this is turning into a slightly creepy post. Don’t get me wrong, I always have normal thoughts about missing family and all that when turbulence hits, but IJ4 was in there too. Bottom line, I’m glad to be here still. New blog coming soon.

It's 2008 already. When did this all happen? Tomorrow I'll be married for ten years, next Tuesday I'll be 33 years old. I'm pretty sure things are moving too fast. Good thing I'm enjoying the ride. Currently I'm enjoying the ride in Lakewood, OH, staying with friends. Cleveland area got a nice foot of snow or so overnight. We're trying to go see my Gramps for lunch, but it may be difficult with the road conditions. Tracey and I have been in Ohio since Christmas eve and will head to BG today to finish out our holiday visiting with my parents and brother on through the weekend. I don't know if I have energy for an end of year best of list. This is due to several reasons I won't explain here. I had the good fortune of going to the Browns game this past Sunday, which was a blast and also stupid cold. Cleveland loves (and often hates) their teams. Sometime in the coming month I'll be changing blogs. I may maintain this address to keep it, but I got a new blog that I'm going to work on that will allow me easier access to posting streaming audio. I've been wanting to do that for years, and now thanks to my brother Justin, I'll be able to do that. I'll post the new address here shortly. Happy New year and all that. See you soon.

...inner city children of promise but without the necessary means for a ... necessary means for a higher education.
