Quick update

Jay and Jeb here. Got in Wednesday and slept through the night.
Last night, went downtown, got some steaks, hit the Field and a coffe place.
Heading to LA tonight to stay with the Andys (minus Stevens) and looking to hook up with Larson and an eventful evening in Hollywood.
Off to vegas for the rest of the weekend.

Geez, it's only been an hour and a half, and I already thought of like 12 more movies that should/could be on my top ten list, just can't decide. But it's fun to think about them all as I try to focus on working this fine Tuesday. See my earlier post for what I'm talking about.

Time Bandits
LA Confidential
Alien
Rushmore
Stand By Me
Buckaroo Bonsai
Godfather II
Goodfellas
Braveheart
Gladiator
Jackie Brown
Swingers
It was super hot this weekend; we did our best to stay cool. The beaches were too crowded, due to the holiday weekend, so we didn’t want to go. Finally, yesterday we decided to hit a movie in the afternoon to stay cool. We went to see Napoleon Dynamite. I really liked it for what it was, definitely better than most of the crap out these days. Funny in a lot of places, but it’s a movie that anyone could really make, if not better. But actually, I’ll not criticize further and be happy that I feel I got my money’s worth. I thought we were getting matinee price, but they charged full price since it was a “holiday”, bull crap. After the movie we spent the rest of the night cleaning up the place, sweating and eating. (side note, dude I work with is wearing his sunglasses on top of his head, inside. Must calm down, not punch him). I watched some of the BoSox/As and Padres games on tv, and we started to watch the Last Samurai on dvd. Tomorrow Jay and Jeb arrive for another week of visitors. Among proposed highlights is a weekend jaunt to LA for Amoeba Records and possibly Kevin Smiths new comic book shop he opened in Hollywood, and a vegas run on Saturday night. It’s safe to assume I’ll be quite tired come next Monday. As an added bonus for today’s blog, I’ve put together (what is a revolving list no doubt) my top ten movies and albums (in no particular order). A few problems though, I actually have 11 movies and 20 albums, I just couldn’t whittle it down. Sorry.
