More Than A Porpoise, More Than A Man, A Manimal

I want a Porpoise who will laugh for no one else

Somehow five days has passed since my last posting, and it's a blur. I've been spending many late nights playing guitar and learning my favorite songs, well, at least parts of them since I suck for the most part. Here's a partial list of what I've been playing:

Undone the Sweater Song-Weezer
Mykel and Carli-Weezer
What's My Age Again-Blink 182
Patience-GnR
Baroque-Apples in Stero
Sweet Child O' Mine-GnR
When I come around-Green Day
Hey You-BTO
I Believe in a Thing Called Love-The Darkness

Don't get any ideas, mostly I'm just playing the power cords, no solos or anthing crazy. I stupidly and stubornly tried to learn some Coheed and some Rush, but, ya know, there's no way at this point. I think I decided today to go through the Weezer's blue album and learn everything, as best I can, just as a focus, cause I just keep jumping all over the place, not focusing on one song for very long. I guess I'm doing now what I should have kept doing when I was 12 and took guitar lessons. I'm starting over at 29, in all ways I guess. Finding a new job, searching my soul for what I really want to do and questioning everything. Is it too late to do this? I don't know, I don't have a choice, it's happening, so I got to deal with it. It's better than being bored or stuck in a dead end job, I'll tell you that much. I'm starting to get into a bit of a daily routine. My day starts at around 11pm or midnight, after Tracey falls asleep. At 11pm I'll watch the Daily Show, then catch the beginning of Tough Crowd on Comedy Central. Then I'll head to our computer, search for jobs (although not everynight), play guitar for 2 or 3 hours, then usually read for another hour (I'm reading a Howard Hughes bio, in anticipation of the Scorsese movie with Dicaprio coming out this Christmas) and fall asleep somewhere between 3 and 4am. Get up between 10 or 11am. Get ready, eat breakfast, Tracey comes home for lunch everyday around noon. She eats lunch, we watch tv, she goes back to work. Then, usually (although I've been lazy about it lately) I'll do a bit of cleaning, dishes, whatever. Then I pack up my Ipod, my book, some sunflower seads, run to Vons to get some Starbucks (Starbucks has 1 buck off coupons in Von's weekly flyer, so when I go to the store, I pick up likm 10 flyers at a time so I have a bunch of coupons), then take one of our new beach chairs we got from Mary down to OB beach and I just relax, read, maybe call someone. Then I come home around 3pm. Chill with Tracey, eat dinner, watch tv, whatever, and start over. Not sure why I just explained all of that, but I did. Hope it was interesting, at least a little. Nothing else to report, nothing else going on at this point. I'll check back in when there is.
