First off, congrats go out to Ryan and Michele, there first daughter, Hannah, was born this morning at 10:10am, good job guys. We look forward to talking with you guys more tonight. Moving on the this past weekend…

Where to begin, where to begin. To be honest, it was pretty emotional for me, and not really because one of my friends got married and I was being sappy. I’ll start with the pleasantries. The wedding was great, Jeb and Christine seem very happy and in love, and I was excited to see a good brother find a wife. I had lots of fun with lots of different people, and many funny things happened, as you would expect. Interesting things that happened summed up in one line:

Michigan hand ((Flesh Mit) this one is for Ben)
Glory Hole (those at Cov on Sunday know what I’m talking about)
Wadsworth
Harr getting digits
Not seeing Ma
Seeing Herald
“She likes dark meat”
Boot knife
“Why are you late?”
“We have to leave, my husband peed his pants” (this was said during the wedding ceremony, seriously, by the minister, as part of some weird story)
Ben trying to be me
Red dress
Glory Hole-just wanted to say it again, sorry
Scantron pens
Wind sail
“Once you go Asian, you never go Caucasian”
“Hope I don’t lose anything else at Krogers”
Petrov from Estonian
High fiveing and lots of air guitar to AC/DC at the reception
Spilling a “beverage” on Brad’s head
Somehow not having a cigar
Riding in a limo
The disappointment of Gullufsen not being fat, thanks for lieing to us Brad

Well, most readers will not understand even half of that list, but it’s a good list. Let’s go through a quick chronological recap. Justy picked me up in Columbus, we got some horrible McDonalds, and we headed for Toledo to pick up my tux. I had forgot, to some degree, how much I hate driving past corn fields in Ohio, man it’s boring. After almost 3 hours, we got to Franklin Park Mall and met up with all the other guys in the wedding. It was good to see everyone. After that, Justin and I headed back to BG to meet up with my parents and Mike, except I don’t think Mike come, to get some bread sticks, Joel came as well. We then went back to my parents place and hung out for a bit, watched some baseball. Then late I went over to Justin and Brad’s apartment. Brad was Xboxin and Jenkins was over as well. We chatted awhile and were waiting for El Brundage to call us to meet up, but by 12:15, he hadn’t called and I was dead tired, so I left, but on my way home, El Brundage called and I met up with him downtown. The Andy’s also called me and they came out to Junction, where we were. We all hung out till late and had good time catching up.

I slept in a bit Friday, then went to BGSU and caught up with some old co-workers. Then I went dowtown and hit the old spots, Cosmos, Finders, Mad Hatter. Then I met Jeb, Jay, Joel and Justin at Sky Line Chilli for lunch. That was fun, the Justin and I went back to my parents and I played catch with my dad, then got cleaned up and heading over the Jeb’s apartment to meet up, and then off to the rehersal. Here is where a few issues arise. There was some confusion on when we were supposed to leave to go to Freemont, where the church was. Anyway, I rode with Joel and Elisha and Harr. We were running a bit late, and the directions to the church were horrible, so we got lost, plus Larson was driving, so naturally something is going to happen. Oh, also, we somehow thought it would be funny to call Jeb and tell him we had a flat tire, alas, this was not a good idea, since we were late. Anyway, we got here, everyone just staring at us, and Jeb really pissed off. Things got cooled off and we got the rehearsal done. Then it was off to the dinner. We had some steak and free drinks. Then we had to help Jeb set up the reception hall, and that took a long time. We finally got done and all made plans to meet up at Trotters in BG. We got back into BG around 11pm. We had a good crew of all the groomsman (except Jeb’s brothers), the Andys, Justy, my friend Dustin, El Brundage, Wulf, Baxter and a few others, can’t remember. We went to Sky Line afterwards, that was quality. I was up pretty late, and ended up crashing at Justy’s place with El Brundage.

I woke up early, like at 8:30am and heading back to my parents to get ready for the wedding. I thought, I have some time (didn’t have to be at Jeb’s till 11am to leave for the wedding), I’m going to go to Kroger and buy some canned Sky Line Chilli to bring back to SD. While in Kroger, I turned my cell phone on and checked messages, then I assume I put it back in my pocket. When I got back to my parents, it was gone, nowhere to be found. I looked all over the Jeep I was driving, in my pants, the Kroger bag, everywhere, it was just gone. I freaked out, went back to Krogers, then hadn’t seen it, I was pissed, where did it go? I left my info with Krogers and just went back, got ready for the wedding and met up with the guys. We got to the church right before noon, and then a bunch of us went to Rally’s for lunch. Came back, got dressed for the wedding and then just sat there, till 2:30pm, when we took pictures (good thing we got there so early Jeb J). I got so tired, waiting, sitting, making dumb jokes, everyone just sleepy. Finally, game time came and we had the wedding. It was so hot on the stage of this church, I thought I was going to faint. Joel was in front of me, and I just kept seeing little sweat beads rolling off his neck, and down his tux, very funny. It kind of helped me get through the ceremony. Thankfully, it was only a half hour and we were done.

The wedding party got to ride in a limo to the reception, my first time. The reception was cool, good food, really good potatoes. Well, after food came the best man speech. What was decided was to do a roast of Jeb instead of just one speech. So several of us groomsman came up with some material to make fun of Jeb and each other with. It was mostly in good taste since we were at a wedding, but overall, it was very embarrassing. Most of the material was inside jokes that no one was getting. By the time I got up there, second to last, it was as if I could hear all the crickets in the entire world, soo quiet, just a complete bomb. I felt so stupid. Thankfully that part is not only on video, but Jay recorded the audio. That’s all I need, to relive that nightmare. For those who got the jokes, I guess it was ok, but just so bad. Ask someone who was there. After the wedding, I rode back with Wulf. I hung at his place for a few, saw Ricky, but was really tired and went back and hung with my parents and Mike for a bit.

Sunday I went to Cov with my parents and that was cool, saw Lars lead worship, met some Africans, learned about the glory hole and said some goodbyes. Then my family and I went to Sky Line Chili, my third time, for lunch. I left from there with my parents for Columbus. My flight home was pretty good, got to see the Italian Job, which helped the time pass by quick. Finally got home around 9pm. Tracy got home around 11pm, and I finally got to see her. We didn’t last very long, we were both very tired. I did have enough energy though to go to Tower Records and get some cds. Got the new Outkast, Brand New’s first cd and a cheap best of Supertramp cd I’ve wanted forever. Tomorrow were going to see Rooney, that should be good. I’m still feeling it today and pretty tired, I came in late today. I’m just going to relax tonight be with Tracey and do nothing, I can’t wait. My parents are on a ten day trip for their 30th anniversary, hope they are having fun. Browns suck, Astros didn’t make the playoffs, so I’m going for Boston this year, and hating on the yankees.

On to some of the emotional stuff I eluded to earlier. Actually, not today, I’ve written too much already. Some other time. I’m very happy for Ryan and Michele.

“Don’t look at my girlfriend, she’s the only one I got…” Supertramp
