I want a Porpoise who will laugh for no one else

Oh yeah, just for the record, Tracey was the one who first told me about Spymob, she heard them first on the radio.
Wow, Mary are you really in BG? I can't believe you guys did that, you're super crazy. I'm just bored at work right now. Yesterday we had fish camp at work. It's a work philosophy based on the fish market in Seatle where they throw the fish and have fun at work, bla bla bla. Tonight I'm going surfing, by myself. I got to talk to AMccan last night, strong fellow. All those dudes are heading out to Europe on Saturday, including Lars, who has not called, despite leaving thousands of messages this week. Glad to see Emily back on the blog circuit. I to have been cathing a lot of the World Poker tour, I love to watch it, and reminds me of how much I love the movie Rounders, and I love that quote about the sucker at the table. I finally got my measurements done for Jeb's wedding, so you can get off my back dude. Now I have them Kevin's wedding as well. I really want to see Pirates, but I have to wait for Tracey, which is cool. She finally gets back tomorrow. We will be on the beach as soon as possible so I can get her acclamated back to SoCal vibe, and not crazy storms and humidity vibe. No news on our condo yet, which makes me anxious. Just wanted to send out a congrats to my friend Ron in Toledo who had a baby boy this past saturday, even though he does not even have a computer, let alone the internet. Justin, have a fun time in Philly. Mike drive safe and don't take any stupid chances with driving, although I know you've learned from the master long term driver, Justin. Mom, have fun at your thing and Dad, now you have Mary around! I do wish I was there, but more so, wish you were all here, hopefully that can happen over Labor Day weekend. Out.

Hey Justin, Mike Brundage got his tickets for SD yesterday, he’s coming Aug 19-22, so if you make it out on the 21st, you’ll catch him for a day, which would be really cool. I can’t believe what that storm did to the trees at the house. It makes me sad that the cherry tree is gone, I miss him. I got a post card yesterday from Mary, sounds like they are having a lot of fun. I rented Phone Booth the other night. It’s definitely a renter, byt kept me entertained, but not the best movie every by any means. Keifer’s voice was good, although the movie did drag a bit, being mostly shot with Colin Farrel in the phone booth, talking. I think he did a good job, but I think Jim Carey was originally going to do the part, and that would have been even more interesting. I also rented the Salton Sea with Val Kilmer, but have not watched it yet. Dad, I’m glad you liked the Spymob, I’ll let you know of anything else I come across that you might like. And I was just getting ready to ask you about the Labor Day weekend trip, so glad to hear you’re still planning on that. That’s it for now.

Hey Justin, enubb777 is my aol screen name. And LF is playing a couple more LA shows right after that SD one, so even if you came out for that weekend, you could catch them, that would be sweet. I saw the pictures of the tree falling on the house, that’s messed up, glad it did not hit your car. Dad must be very busy. Got some more info on our possible condo. It looks like maybe the jacuzzi is leaking, the current owners are having it checked, and if it is the jacuzzi, they will fix it, which would be good and we could move ahead with buying the place. I feel at peace about this place, I think it’s supposed to be ours. That’s all I have to report.

LF-August 21-San Diego-the Lord is good

Sunday, July 06, 2003

I’m back and alive, having barely survived the beast that is the city of angels. On Thursday I made a stupid mistake and left SD around 2pm for LA, bad mistake. It took me over 4 hours to get up there, just stop and go for 122 miles, and our Honda does not have AC and it was hot (not Ohio hot, but hot enough for no AC). Finally, after getting lost a few times, I made it to Amoeba records around 6:15pm. I spent about an hour and a half in there, and restrained myself to only 6 cds. I picked up the new New Pornographers cd, which is very good (they are Canadian, Jenkins knows of them). I got an old Apples in Stereo cd, old Ash cd, a Huntingtons/Retards split cd, the latest Hot Rod Circuit cd and just for fun I bought a Catherine Wheel cd, which is very good as well. After Amoeba, I went up to Hollywood Blvd and walked around just for fun. I ended up at some big mall that is connected to the Kodak theatre and the famous Mahn’s Chinese Theatre (which I think is called something different now) I ate dinner at a Johnny Rockets and stuffed myself (burger, fries, shake and pepsi, cost me 13$!!) I headed out around 9:30 to find the Koufax show, which I eventually did, even though getting lost again several times. The show was quality. The lead singer went on a mini rant about how bad it sucks to live in Ohio, which I laughed at. I was wearing my Rusty’s Jazz tshirt and some dude asked me if I was from Toledo, I told him BG and he said he was from Toledo, and then walked away. After Koufax I headed out to Hermosa Beach to my friend Rob’s place. Got there around midnight. Rob and his roommates were playing Halo online and yelling at each other a lot. We stayed up till about 4am just chillin. They had Satellite tv and I watched Stripes, even though it’s on Comedy Central every other night. We got up around 10am Friday and got some Starbucks. Rob lives about 20 blocks from the beach, so we all walked down to the boardwalk area of Hermosa and first went to some big beach house party for a bit. Later on Rob and I split off and went to his ex-girlfriends house for a BBQ. I met a guy from Belgium there, not much else to say about him. Around 3pm we headed back down to the beach to check out an illegal punk show that was on a flat bed truck (illegal cause they just stopped in the middle of the street). On our way there we were walking by a beach house and I noticed Lance Bass from the Backstreet Boys sitting there at a party. I pointed him out to those with me and we had a good laugh. Later on Rob and I went back to his place and BBQ some steaks, then at night we went down and checked out the fire works, which were not very good. I ended up leaving Friday night to come home cause I didn’t want to sleep on their couch again and wanted to miss traffic.

This weekend I’ve been either outside playing bball or watching movies inside. I watched Dark Blue, which I thought was very good, especially Kurt Russel, I like him. I watched Tears of the Sun, which was not bad, very sad actually. Later tonight I’m going to watch We We’re Soldiers. I saw some ads on Comedy Central for the South Park movie uncut and they were going to show it at 1am last night, so I thought I’d check it out for fun, and sure enough, uncut and brutal. I had heard from someone who had seen it (I won’t say who it was, Ma, whoops, I did) that it was really bad, cussing wise at least, and it was, so I turned it off after a few minutes. I worked out last night around midnight as well, which I discovered makes you not able to sleep, since I stayed up till 4:30am last night, wide awake. I miss my wife and have another week to go on that. I talked to AStevens for awhile today, that was funny. Any of the music standing out to you Justin that I sent? Too bad about your IPOD, weird and good that I have not had any problems, usually the first version has all the bugs, oh well.
