4 of the 10 riches people in the USA dropped out of college, and the Forbes list didn’t even say if two of the Walton sons even went to college at all. That’s the secret. That’s why I’m not a billionaire, I went to college, dang.

My parents have safely arrived in town. Tonight we are eating at the Field and going to the Padres game. The Pixies/Thrills show earlier this week was great. I got some free Thrills posters for the fam. Mare, are you done with Kill Bill? Can you bring Startchky and Hutch?

Quick weekend rundown cause I’m tired:

-Went to a friend’s birthday party on Friday

-Slept in nicely on Saturday, got the call about potential visitors, helped Tracey clean house

-Visitors arrived at 8pm (the two Andy’s and two other’s I did not know), we went to Wahoos for dinner, then all went downtown to hang some more

-Got breakfast in OB Sunday morning, then we all headed to Encinitas to surf, which sucked due to poor conditions

-Went to concert last night at SDSU (Secret Machines, Death Cab, Muse, Franz Ferdinand) with Tracey and our friend Sue

-With the ticket stub, you could get in free to another late show last night at the Casbah (best music venue in SD), so I took Tracey’s ticket and met my friend Eddie and we went. The Futureheads and the Delays were playing. Futureheads were really fun and good. The Delays were cheese crap and we left during their set.

-But before we left, I had a star sighting, if you will. I noticed this guy right in front of me wearing a Dodgers hat, and it was real low over his eyes. This guy was standing with a few other dudes who looked really over dressed, really LA and going out clubbin look. After a few more glances and having this guy turn around a bit I realized it was Leonardo Dicaprio, just slumming it up with us local folk at a small club. Good for him. I contemplated telling him I loved him on Growing Pains, but I’m sure he would not appreciate the humor, but you never know.

-I think a lot of other stuff happened, but who cares. Franz Ferdinand were absolutely amazing, I highly recommend seeing them live if you get a chance. And so were the Secret Machines.

-I gotta rest up tonight so I have maximum energy for tomorrows Pixies/Thrills show. I’m too blessed.
