Happy 23rd Justin. Our gift will be in the mail shortly. I remember being 23, boy I wish I was still 23. As a brother it’s great to see how well you have done for yourself. I’m proud of you and glad that you seek to most from life and God. Life is so short and you are living it so fully, I like that. I can’t wait to see you change the world with your vision! I will try to see City of God this weekend, if I can, but I have to work a lot. It sounds good though.

Still working my A off. Here is another funny story from Jim Rome's website:

Actor Don Johnson/Sonny Crockett/Nash Bridges got caught in a money laundering scheme. Crockett has been caught up with German Customs authorities. He was stopped trying to enter the country when he was stopped carrying 5 billion dollars worth of share certificates, checks, credit notes and bonds.

$5 Billion…with a ‘B’.

Do you know how many pastel suits, t-shirts and Ferraris you can buy with that kind of money? All that coke on Miami Vice was fake…right? Can anyone confirm that Crockett didn’t take some of that ‘fake’ coke off the set and try to sell it on the streets?

Crockett says he was trying to close a business deal. What, was he trying to buy Germany?

But it gets worse for Sonny. He is also being sued in California for failure to pay a $1 million loan to a bank. He has $5 billion that he travels with, you mean he can’t break off a meager $1 million? He should have that much in the ashtray of his Ferrari.

Nice resume Nash Bridges. He made pastel suit jackets with the sleeves pushed up fashionable. He is an international money launderer and he’s a deadbeat to boot. It could be worse, he could be Tubbs doing late night Psychic Friends infomercials.

Larson, I can't believe your car got stolen, you have to call me as soon as you can, messed up. Dad, I tried to call you this morning, but no answer on your different cell and Mary's phone was busy. Justin that is very cool on the Phili thing, and tell me how Lost in LaMancha is, we saw a preview awhile back and it looked good. Nothin else to say for now, here is a funny story from Jim Rome on one of my old favorite baseball players:

"Former good Major Leaguer, turned overweight Major Leaguer, turned Major League cheerleader Carlos Baerga added his name to the ridiculous spring training injury list. Baerga suffered cuts to the middle finger on his left hand after getting it slammed in a car door. Dude slammed his hand with a car door while pumping gas. He was filling his rig up in Tucson when a gust a wind slammed the door shut on his finger. Allegedly he was reaching into the car to give his cousin money to pay for the gas when he got snipered. He is expected to be able to play again soon. That’s good news. I hope that wasn’t his pom pom hand. I would hate for him not to be able to be on the top step of the dugout cheering on the real players. That surely would’ve been a tragedy. More importantly I hope it wasn’t his eating hand. We all know how skilled that guy is with a knife and fork. Dude has skills. Just keep him away from checking the oil. Don’t let him put his head under the hood, he might get decapitated. He might even pull a hamstring cleaning a window. The only thing he should be allowed to do is pay for the gas. He’s about the only one who can afford the $4 per gallon."

Joel, welcome back to the fold, we have missed you. The Lord has left the 99 and gone after the lone, lost blogger, kill the fatted calf. Congrats to Lars on UK and Justin for Texas, nice wins. Props to me as well cause the ole Tar Heels stuck it to D(p)uke. I hate D(p)uke.

I don’t have much time to spare to write, but here goes. Had another epic weekend. Friday afternoon I was out of gas at work and said ta heck with it and left a bit early and got a short surf session in at OB, it felt so good to be in the sun and in the ocean, as usual. I have no idea what I did Friday night, just can’t remember at the moment. Saturday was a good day, got up to watch UK and Texas, then Tracey kidnapped me. She had told me she had a surprise for me this weekend. So she drove us up to Encinitas to a cool Spanish style hotel for the night. I got to go to Lou’s records, a great Indie record store, ala Mad Hatter. I had forgotten, but by chance Special Goodness were playing a free show outside the store (Pat Wilson, the drummer for Weezer’s side project, along with the ex-drummer of Rocket From the Crypt). I got there after there last song ended, but no big deal cause I’m not really into them anyway, but cool to see Pat just standing on the side of highway 101 talking to kids. Anyway, picked up four cds, The Eyeliners (chick punk), the newest Reggie and Full Effect (it kinda sucks), an old Lawrence Arms cd (more punk) and the latest Squad 5-0 cd, which I love. Then we went to the beach and watched the sun set, it was wonderful. Then we went to a cool Italian place (I got pizza, no brainer). Sunday morning we got some Starbucks and went back to the ocean to watch the surfers (Mary, we were at the campground where we camped last summer). We saw some Dolphins and Whales as well. I also saw the guitarist from Blink 182, Tom, walking by with his wife and baby, funny and strange to see famous people just walking around. We then spent the rest of the day shopping at many different locations. We ended up at Canes bar and grill on the roof overlooking Mission Beach having a great dinner and being content with life. It was an unbelievably restful weekend that I needed very much due to work stress. Thanks Tracey for getting me out of my stress, you’re the best ever.

Anyway, this is going to be a very long week for me, at least ten hours a day, prolly 12. But I have a great goal in sight. Next Friday Larson, AStevens and Amcan are heading down to SD for surfing and a trip to Joshua Tree National Park for some camping. Glad to hear my parents are doing well in Chowchilla land, don’t mention Sonic again or I will lose my mind.
