My favorite line so far from Klosterman's Superbowl blog is...
If you love burned-out brick buildings, this is the city for you; I have to believe Detroit leads the nation in low-rent housing that's been devastated by combustion.
I don't want to get into too much Detroit bashing just because I grew up in Ohio, and was bred to hate all things Michigan (although I'm still a member of that church). I won't mention the time my Dad's car, which I was borrowing to go to a concert at the Magic Stick, was broken into by crackheads. Why? Because cars are broken into all the time in all cities, right?. I also won't mention the dozens of times I've seen a car on fire on the side of the road in Detroit, because, I suppose that could happen anywhere. For some reason it just seems things like that happens the most in Detroit. Listen, I've just had too many bad things happen to me while I've been in the big hand they call Michigan. I'm going to let this go for now and pray they never have another Superbowl in the big hand. Just to show that I'm fair, I will say Ann Arbor is one of my favorite cities.
