More Than A Porpoise, More Than A Man, A Manimal

I want a Porpoise who will laugh for no one else

Did you buy this today? You should.

Tomorrow night I’m going to see Tom Petty for the first time. Free Falling came out when we spent that half year in Washington DC when I was in 9th grade and Dad worked at a conservative think tank. That song always makes me think of many a night spent in my room “teaching” myself how to play basketball on a nerf hoop attached to the top of my closet door. This entailed me mimicking Michael Jordan’s moves and playing one-on-one with imaginary defenders. I also remember that I would listen to Revolver and Rubber Soul everyday on the family stereo while I ate cereal. Not sure how or why that sticks in my brain, but it does.

If I can get any joy out the Indians season it’s that they finished off the White Sox’s playoff hopes last night with a rout. They make me sick. The White Sox that is. Well, the Indians do a bit as well.

This Friday night we are spending an evening with an Indian casino and Wolfmother. We already had tickets when I found out that Spinto Band/Art Brut/We Are Scientists were playing a show the same night. I think I’d rather do this show, but it’s too late. I’d like to mention that the only game the Padres have lost in the last week is the game I went to.

Here's some pictures from my trip up to that Dodgers game last Sunday.
