Last night Tracey and I got out and saw the New Pornographers. Great show, no Neko, but still a great show. We got there pretty early and got some food. While we were waiting for the opening band, the sound guy played the whole new Flaming Lips cd. When it first started, I thought it sounded like them, but I didn’t recognize the song, so I rolled over and asked the dude. He somehow got a pre-release copy. I have to say it sounded pretty amazing. Looking forward to that.

Also, Tracey and I finalized our summer travel plans. We’re heading out to Ireland to hang with Bono, Van, the Cranberries and what’s left of Thin Lizzy. We’ll also mix in some Braveheart like runs at Scotland and on to London. Tracey and my sister are heading out a little early and hitting Italy and Switzerland since they are teachers and have more time off. I’m taking 3 weeks off to do this. We have not taken a real vacation together for 3 years, so this will be nice.

This past weekend was a solid overdose of basketball and green Coors. Thanks Big 10 for showing up.
