Well, A. Stevens did not stay with us last night. He left SF too late so they got some hotel somewhere. But I am going to catch up with him this afternoon and he and his crew will be chillin at my pad tonight. Tracey also leaves in about 3 hours for Cleveland to see her best friend Heidi for the weekend. And in about 4 hours I go pick up Jay from the train station. For those in the dark, Jay is my friend from BG who works at Cosmos for the infamous Gee Lopes. Jay has a bit of a bitter streak towards life but he is a great person, a loyal friend and very honest. You know exactly what your getting with Jay, and that is whats cool about him. We hit Vegas tomorrow for some good fun. For the last couple of days I have been getting advice from my co-workers on what to see and do in Vegas, so this should be fun. I'm not really into gambling, but Vegas is about just being there and having a good time, and being able to say, "I went to Vegas". I have invited Stevens and his crew, but not sure if they are going to be able to do that. Tonight we might hook up with donkey boy, not sure yet.

Ok, now on to more important news from last night. Let me set up the situation for you. Tracey and I have basic cable. We get like 28 chanels for $10 a month. We get all the networks, only ESPN 2, WGN and a bunch of other crap that I don't watch. Not having ESPN or TNT means I miss a ton of NBA and college basketball this winter. But I have been saved. Last night our cable company called and said we could add the rest of the cable channels for only $14 more a month, instead of the regular $40 extra, so we are loaded up for the winter (this deal is only for 6 months). The fun starts on Monday. I always dreamed of this moment. They day when I lived on my own and could get cable. Tracey and I have never had cable before (we couldn't afford it in the past, although when we house sat my parents house while they were in Africa for a year, we had cable). This means we have finally arrived as true capitalistic Americans, oh what joy. Ok peeps, have a good weekend, although I'm pretty sure yours will only be half as good as mine will be, at best. Peace Greace.

Jeb-you rock dude, stay strong. I am happy for you and all your success. Taiwan? Thast crazy dude.
Lars-your a good man
Mike-its good to know that you are carrying on the tradition of walking around BGSU with crazy thoughs of doing crazy things. Our Edwards's minds are weird arn't they?

I just got to work today and read on-line that Jam Master J, the DJ for Run-DMC was shot to death last night. That really sucks and is completely stupid. I loved Run-DMC when I was in Junior High. They were definitely an amazing group that opened the door for hip hop to explode. Its just sad and so stupid. Our world keeps getting darker by the day. Now more than ever we need Jesus. You may call it a crutch, but I don't care, we all need help in times like these.

On another interesting note, Adam Baker emailed me a few moments ago out of nowhere. He ofcourse has a blog that you should check out, its at http://gokidgo.blogspot.com/. But get ready to read for awhile, this dude can write. My office is having a big pot-luck lunch today. I'm having trouble concentrating on work, so much to look forward to today and for the weekend. I love being too busy and having too much going on. Back in BG it seemed like nothing ever was going on to look forward to. I hated Saturday nights just trying find something cool to do, but there wasn't. People in BG do not get offended, I am simply making a general statement about there being a lack of things to do overall. Obviously there were good times here and there and good people in BG. My weeks here in SD just fly by, and I love it. Time dragged on and on in BG, its just a fact. Does this mean that you, the reader should also move out here to San Diego in order to find fun, cool things to do? Probably. So why don't you get on that and join the party fool.
Wow, my weekend of impending fun has just advanced a day. Got a call tonight from A. Stevens. He is driving down to SD from San Fran with his brother and friend and staying with me Thursday and Friday night. This definitely has epic possibilities. I don't even know what to think. Stevens tomorrow, Jay on Friday (with Stevens still in tow), and Vegas on Saturday. Should be interesting. I am very excited though. I really like Stevens and wish I could have hung with him more before we both moved out West. I believe some pool at the Arizona will be in order.

Also, tonight I was in a Salvation Army and found a laser disk of a movie called "Invasion of the Space Preachers". A-mazing. You have to see this thing, you can only imagine what the cover looks like. It doesn't matter that I don't have a laser disk player, this thing was a must have. I only wish I could watch it. Have a great Halloween. My office is having a costume contest. I was trying to dress up as one of the Resovoir Dogs, black suit, black tie, but could not find the stuff in time, so I'm going as a 50's greaser. White t-shirt, jeans cuffed and slicked back hair. Ok, noboby cares about that anyway. Late

Does anybody in BG realize that Alkaline Trio are playing in Detroit tonight? At least that is what their website says. Is anybody going? And Koufax is tonight as well, wow, good thing I don't have to make that decision, I would be torn. Congrats to the Konya's on their pregnancy, nice job. Tracey and I rented Mr. Deeds last night, it was ok, I liked Little Nickey better, at least between the two. I need to get to Punch Drunk Love sometime here and check that out. Not much else going on. Just getting ready for this weekend. Jay is taking a train out here and we are going to Vegas on Saturday for what should be an epic outing. Tracey is flying to Cleveland this weekend to see her wonderful friend Heidi (early birthday present from me), so we are staying busy. Bought time Lars updated his blog. Hey bros, I'm into that new FireTheft song, nice. Now win a freakin softball game. And try to keep Brad from giving double guns to the other team.

Message to Jack Johnson and John Mayer, your music sucks. And what the heck is wrong with Christina Agurlcrappa? If you saw her in the new Rolling Stone, you know what I'm talking about it. She is disgusting, a disgrace and her music also sucks. I wish they would all go away. Also in the new Rolling Stone is an article by Tom Petty on the ten things that piss him off. It's very interesting and right on. That guy is cool. Hey, read it for yourself: http://www.rollingstone.com/news/newsarticle.asp?nid=16913

I was too busy today to write a full update of this past weekend. But just know that it was good, except the weather. Several "Steins" were taken care of by me since Ryan wimped out and did not support me. I'll write more later. Here are some quotes:

"Let me get this straight, Bowling Green is ranked 18th and Florida and Florida State are not ranked? What is going on?" Jim Rome-yeah, Rome giving props to BGSU on national radio, thats cool.
"At least come for awhile, a bottle of wine, there is nothing worse than Saturday's alone" Koufax-all you BG fools should go see them Tuesday night at Howards.

I'm back in SD now, and it feels good. Planes freak me out now since 9-11. I'll write more soon. Funny thing though, Pastor Pitts was on our flight back to SD, weird huh? No contact though. C-ya.
