HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!!!!
I checked everyone's blog, I was the first to post this congrats, so I'm the best sibling, ha!! So your 51, crazy, how does that feel? You've been a great Dad, and I wouldn't trade ya in for the world! Without your guidence and example, I would not be where I am today. I wish we could be there to celebrate, and to have some of mom's great cake, but we will have to have a belated celebration. The same goes for your gifts. There a few things I/we want to get you, but I can't get them to you yet, it's hard to explain, but you'll be happy when the time comes. We can't wait for Thanksgiving, and maybe even sooner for just you if you come out for the conference. Have fun without us, and know that we will be there in spirt. Love you Dad.

Yo ho ho. Due to Michele's insistence, I posted some more pics of our vacation. Go check them out: http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?selected=466255 (a fun one is in there for Justin)

Thanks for looking. At least the Astros won, the Indians are not helping the Tigers achieve history, dang it.
It seems like fam members are dealing with stuff. Dad’s letter, Mike’s band issues, Justin getting bored and wanting out, Mom with her doctor stuff and Mary and Casey trying to get to Alaska, maybe. For us, it is nice to live our “dream”, but I think overall, it’s important to learn contentment no matter what season we are in. I know that’s easy to say for me, since I accomplished a goal I had, but I’ve learned that just moving somewhere does not solve your problems, at least not deeper life and spiritual issues (I mean, obviously certain things are better, like the weather, and better things to do). After this past weekend with Heidi and Ken (for those clueless about who they are, Tracey and I went to BGSU with Heidi and she become one of our closest friends and still is, Ken is her awesome husband, who is from Youngstown and loves all things Ohio in regards to sports, so he’s ok in my book. There is much more back story here in regards to Heidi, but not important for the casual reader, anyway), I really began to realize that in the long run, it might be better to have close friends and family in a crappy place, as opposed to living in the one of the best locations in the States without close fellowship. It’s only been a year, and God can bring some good people in our lives, and I believe He will, but until then, it’s nice to be with close friends from back east. I’m not sure what I’m saying, actually. Like Justin, I know how depressing you prolly felt writing that last entry, just sitting in BG, bored and trying to find something to do. On the other side, you’ve got Brad, who’s cool, to at least go through that with (and other people as well). But that future idea of Austin sounds really cool, although I’d rather you come to SD, but I think Austin is the new Seattle these days, with cool bands and arts going on and happening there, you should go for it. I’m rambling now. I wrote awhile back about maybe someday moving back and living in Cleveland, and I still feel that after this weekend. I’d love to be able to take my kids to Indians games like my Dad did. You just never know. I could live in SD the rest of my life, no prob, especially now that we have bought a condo. I think I just feel that since I actually made this happen (moving to SD), that I can do anything now. I’ve lived a dream for the last year. Every moment of every day I’m here I feel alive and free. The bright sun, the palm trees, the ocean breeze, it’s how I was meant to live, but I could give it up if God had something else for us. Who knows what the future holds for the Edwards clan?

I bought a cd this weekend by a band called Brand New, and it’s really good. Just standard screamo core emo stuff, but they also mix in some acoustic stuff too, I’m into it right now. We’ll prolly go to the Astros/Padres this Friday, but I just found out that Rocket From the Crypt is playing a free show downtown, and I really want to go to that. I’ll definitely get one game in this weekend for sure. Also, go to this website and celebrate with me, http://www.talklikeapirate.com/. I think the Astros are on ESPN tonight. We watched the OC again last night, we love it. What else is going on? Getting geared up for Jeb’s wedding in a few weeks. I’m happy for Jeb, but I’m also happy for myself being able to get some DQ, some bread sticks, a brown jug (maybe), and hopefully as least one run to Waffle House, IHOP just does not compare, in my opinion. I watched the Carry the Cross video, very funny. We rented Head of State the other night because I was feeling the Chris Rock vibe after the MTV music awards, but the movie pretty much sucked. Did I ever mention the second half of The Good Thief was pretty good? It was, fun ending. I love gambling movies, although it was about thieves, there was some casino action in it. Keep it real

Yo, we had an amazing weekend with Heidi and Ken. They are good people. I'll write more on their visit later. It's late and I just spent 1 1/2 hours setting up a picture album online. So go here, http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?selected=466255, to see a few pics of Tracey and I on vacation a few weeks ago. When I get more time, I'll add more pics. The image quality sucks, but I had to reduce the size for the web, so deal with it. I'll get some pics of our new place up soon as well. The Tigers keep losing and all is right with the world. Man I don't want to go to work tomorrow, I need another day. Late
