More Than A Porpoise, More Than A Man, A Manimal

I want a Porpoise who will laugh for no one else

Last day @ WF. Strange, weird and exciting. To think that I’m starting my 4th job in two years since being in SD. Gotta flow with the market I guess. A job is a job, but life, real life, being content or discontent, is the real issue this morning. I’ve had these moments the last few days where I tell myself to not take this for granted, being alive and living my dream in Cal. And then it hit me; I’m not taking it for granted. I’m soaking up every moment, every good time and every freakin second I get to spend on the beach or on the waves or out and about on the town. I’m blessed, I know it and I’m not taking it lightly, and I feel good about it. Moving on…

Sorry Mom and Justin that your trip was canceled. I wish I could fly out tomorrow for the Indians game. Justin, there will be a new Hot Hot Heat release this fall.

We went to Old Town last night for dinner with Tracey’s parents and one of their old friends from MI that lives here. Tonight I believe we are hitting the Field for dinner and Smithwicks (the new Irish brew I mentioned in my last post, got the correct spelling).

Dear Djack, I don’t feel a fan of a 40-73 team should make comments about an up and coming, surprising Indians team that WILL take the division. And now that your bro is @ Cal, maybe you’ll actually come to the west coast.

Bless ya all and go Tribe!

Second to last day here at Wells Fargo. Time has been moving pretty fast and my new job has already told me they are buying me lunch on Monday, my first day, rad to that. Last night I took my father in law out with my friend Eddie. Eddie had suggested trying out this Irish “Pub” near his house and then playing some Xbox afterwards. The pub was kind of a pseudo Irish place, not much atmosphere, but they had this new Irish beer on tap called Smitticks (not sure of sp), which was really good. My father in law and Eddie are both in sales, so they got along pretty well and we had a fun time. We went back to Eddie’s and we just checked out his new surround sound system instead of playing any Xbox because it was late. I’m being cautiously excited about the Indians being only 3 games out of first place, but I’m fully expecting them to break my heart. I’ve been listening to the Killers over and over this morning, which is getting me excited about going to Vegas next month, which I am (the Killers are form Vegas, hence the thinking about going to Vegas).

I will now use the rest of my blog to train everyone on the proper time to wear sunglasses. First off, above all else, sunglasses should never be worn inside, EVER. (Exceptions include rock stars and famous celebs. They are famous, and as per Cory Heart, they can wear them at night) Secondly, do not wear them on top of your head or the back of your neck for extended amounts of time, inside, just don’t do it. Thirdly, obviously sunglasses are to be worn outdoors because the sun is bright, therefore, in the early morning, when the sun is not out yet, take them off. I don’t know why I have such a pet peave about sunglasses, but I do. That was pretty much a waste of space and time, but this one guy at WF wears his inside too much and I want to punch him, with them on.

“I should pray for him, but…” Anon

Starting my last week at Wells Fargo. Strange feeling, having another last week somewhere, after just doing it 1 ½ months ago. All for the best though. We had a cool visit from Mare/Case last week, and Tracey’s parents are currently here. We went to the Del Mar races with them on Saturday. It was way too hot and overcrowded. Yesterday we spent the afternoon in Encinitas, which was great. Things have just been so crazy and I know I’ve forgotten a ton of stuff I wanted to blog about. I’m hoping to catch Lassie Foundation next week in Costa Mesa, north of SD, south of LA (and Justin, I was aware of El Dorado, it’s one of many cds I’ve meant to get, but have not, hard to get anyway). Hope my parents get home safely today. Gonna pick up Kill Bill 2 tomorrow. I got to see the Hives last week for free, did I mention that? They were fun and entertaining, but I’m not super into their music. That’s all I got for now, at least that I can remember.
