More Than A Porpoise, More Than A Man, A Manimal

I want a Porpoise who will laugh for no one else

It’s Good Friday once again. I can’t believe how fast time goes by. This day always reminds me of my favorite Good Friday of all time, when I was a sophomore in college. First off, Joel and I went to some Campus Crusade function and we were super giddy and laughing a lot at everything and everyone. Then later that night we went up to Detroit and saw SF59 and Prayer Chain, a great night. I think this will be my first Easter without family. We are prolly going to our friends Marni and Eddie’s church in Del Mar, it’s at an outdoor amphitheatre, then we may BBQ on the beach to celebrate the resurrection, sounds good to me.

“A Mighty Wind was a Mighty Movie”-possible title for newspaper story on A Mighty Wind. This mock quote is in honor of Michael because he has already made this joke on several occasions. In today’s USAToday, the review for the new movie “Holes” says “There are no Holes in Holes”, cmon? How stupid. But, we did see Mighty Wind Wednesday night and it did not disappoint. I still like Gufman the best, but this was as good. Fred Willard stole the movie for me, man he is good. I’ll need to see it again soon. Speaking of Mike, it would be sweet if you went to Azusa Pacifica, you’d only be a few hours from us.

Tracey’s parents left this morning. We had a great week and did a lot. Last night Tracey’s Dad took me out to Hemingways, the cool cigar bar. A few of the guys from POD were there. There were all these other guys with them in suits, like record execs or something. POD has there own Humidor box at this place, pretty cool. They have the lead single for the new Matrix movie, which is cool. I found out recently that the Lassie Foundation is playing in LA on April 30, and I was super excited about it, I’ve wanted to see them forever and thought they were done. A few weeks prior I bought two tickets to see the All American Rejects cause Tracey really likes them and so do I, and I noticed that the show is on the same day as the Lassie show, super bummed now, hopefully Lassie will play again.

Supposed to be a really nice weekend, I need to surf, it’s been too long. Hey Dad, any word on Anniversary plans? Just checking, I gotta let Jeb know soon about his wedding. I can’t believe that BGSU listserv thing you posted about, idiots. Everyone have a great Easter! And I loved your story Mom!

So Euro and so good. Tracey and I went and saw Bettie Severrt last night. As I have mentioned before, it was sad to not be with Joel and Justin, but I rocked out nonetheless. Man, they are just not attractive people, those Euros, good thing they can rock.

Tracey’s parents are in town for the week and we had long but good weekend. We hit lots of spots, including Sunset Cliffs, OB, Dog Beach, Seal Beach, Lo Jolla, Encinitas, Cardiff by the Sea and Torrey Pines. Tonight will be some Fred’s Mexican downtown SD, and maybe Hemingways with Tracey’s dad, not sure yet, it’s a bit chilly and rainy today.

Oh, almost forgot, on Friday I did finish up my big project, so things are more relaxed this week. I think I will be taking tomorrow off. I want to thank Tracey for being very supportive during these last 6 weeks of long hours. There are still some interesting things going on with my job, mostly for the better that I will explain someday, but for now it would take too long to explain. I need a nap. I just watched the new Matrix preview and I’m blown away. I may have to be a nerd and go to a midnight showing the day before it opens. Wednesday we are planning on seeing A Mighty Wind. There is some good articles on it in today’s USA Today. That’s all I got for now.
